HPI now offers the popular Savage monster truck in a kit version that includes several high-performance options not available on the standard ready-to-run Savage. At the top of the list is the powerful new Nitro Star S-25 engine. Boasting a 20% larger displacement than the standard 21BB engine, the S-25 allows the SS to reach top speeds in excess of 40 mph. A specially tuned, ribbed pipe is also included that lets the big S-25 breathe freely for maximum power output. To harness all the extra horsepower, HPI has given the SS hardened metal diffs and two different clutchbells: a 15-tooth for off-road and wheelie action, and an 18-tooth version for high-speed on-road runs. Rounding out the package is a great looking GT-1 truck body.
